How to find the right dosage of CBD oil

How to find the right dosage of CBD oil | HERBLIZ

If you go to the pharmacy and ask for a medicine for coughing, you will always get a detailed instruction manual. After all, the cough syrup has been specially developed for one symptom - coughing. How to use and dose this cough syrup is described in the package insert. CBD oil, on the other hand, is not a medicine. It is a naturally occurring plant product that can be used as a cosmetic product and has many different application fields. While CBD is said to have a lot of benefits, many people simply use it for relaxation and to bring more balance into their lives.

The amount of CBD oil is as individual as the reasons for its use. By experimenting and observing your body closely you can easily find out your own suitable amount yourself. So here the saying goes: 'The proof of the pudding is in the eating'. Of course, there are some general factors that have a significant impact on the effects of CBD. We will go into this in detail in this article: How do I find my ideal amount of CBD and what do I need to be aware of? This article will help you to find your own individual amount step by step.

Which factors influence the effect of CBD?

There is a number of general factors that have a significant impact on the effects of CBD oil:

  • What about my body weight?

  • How much physical activity is there in my everyday life?

  • Why and what is CBD Oil used for?

  • What are my expectations?

  • Do I have a slow or rather fast metabolism?

  • Which medications are taken regularly? (In this case, we always recommend consulting the treating physician to exclude undesirable interactions)

TIP! - We generally recommend starting with a small amount and increasing it only slowly. Watching your own body closely is the safest way to find the ideal amount. Keeping a diary can be very helpful.

What should CBD oil be used for?

There is a wide variety of individual factors, and the perfect amount is based on them. Therefore, we recommend that you deal with the reasons first before you start using CBD oil.

We already mentioned it at the beginning of the article: If you start with a small amount of a few drops a day and observe your body closely, you will quickly find the individually perfect amount. Often less is more. Therefore we generally recommend to start with 5% or 10% CBD content.

How do I use CBD oil?

All our oils are delivered in a dark glass bottle which should be stored at a dry, cool place away from light. The easiest way to use it is to place the oil directly under your tongue and let it absorb for 30-60 seconds. The integrated pump dispenser of our CBD mouth sprays makes usage especially easy.

CBD oil with aromatic carrier oils

In addition to pure CBD isolate oils, you can also choose from a variety of full spectrum oils which contain a vegetable carrier oil as a base. These oils influence the aroma of the product. Full spectrum oils also contain natural plant compounds such as terpenes and flavonoids to improve the effect due to their ideal composition resulting in the so-called “entourage effect”. An example is our HERBLIZ Autumn Blend CBD Oil 10%  with mild pumpkin seed oil. As carrier oils we use high-quality olive oil, hemp seed oil or MCT-coconut oil, which provide a pleasant aroma and are rich in essential fatty acids, vitamins and minerals..Our Lemon Mint CBD Mouth Spray is based on refreshing peppermint oil and vitalising lemon oil - perfect for those who prefer a fruity-fresh aroma.

How do I find the right CBD Oil amount?

Since CBD is a purely natural product, it is difficult to give precise information on the best amount. Every body reacts differently to cannabinoids. In general, we recommend starting with a small amount and increasing it in a controlled and slow manner. Think carefully about what you are using the oil for and which effects you want to achieve. According to experience reports it is recommended to experiment with CBD oil over a period of six to twelve weeks. During this time the body can get used to the cannabinoids. Increase the amount in a controlled manner until the desired effect is achieved. Most people report a noticeable effect within the first fourteen days.

In the beginning you can start with a low concentration of CBD (5%). Start in the evening with the first drop of oil. One hour before going to bed is particularly recommended. The following day you can really get going: Use 1-2 drops in the morning or at noon. In the evening use 1-2 drops again. Stay at this amount for at least a week. If you need to increase the amount afterwards, increase it to three drops, for example. This may not even be necessary.  The principle often applies to CBD oil: less is more! Increase slowly week by week and drop by drop. If you do not feel the desired effect after a few weeks, you can test a higher amount of oil. Observe your body carefully and possibly write down all the changes you have noticed in the evening. After some time you will certainly have found your perfect amount and the right oil.

Is it possible to have an overdose?

Cannabidiol (CBD) is particularly popular because there are hardly any known side effects. In the same way, it is hardly possible to achieve an overdose. However, since every body reacts differently to the herbal product, one should of course be careful. If you have taken too much, you may experience slight drowsiness or mild diarrhoea.

Therefore, it is advised to slowly adjust the amount, rather than using unnecessarily large amounts. Although no overdose of CBD can occur, a general guideline for safe use is 10 to 70mg per day. HERBLIZ offers 4 different concentrations of CBD: 5%, 10%, 15% and 20%.

Are there any interactions with medicine?

In general, you should always consult your doctor if you are regularly taking medications. CBD is not a drug and cannot replace a visit to the doctor in case of diseases. It is a natural product that works differently for each person.
