QUALITY

How is CBD oil made?

Our CBD is extracted by using a gentle CO2 extraction. This is considered to be the preferred method because it allows to gently extract all major cannabinoids from hemp plants and preserve fragile terpenes and flavonoids and it leaves no premises of solvents in the final product. For our CBD isolates, we use pure cannabidiol of natural origin. Afterwards, all our CBD products are tested by independent laboratories to ensure their pureness, quality and CBD concentration. You can find individual product certificates linked in the descriptions. Find out more on our page dedicated to quality.

Are there certificates?

Yes, all of our CBD oils have certificates that can be found in our product descriptions.

What do I have to consider when buying CBD?

  • Only buy CBD oil from trusted and GMP qualified suppliers using organic hemp as a raw material for CBD oil extraction
  • Only buy CBD with COAs (Certificate of Analysis)
  • Only buy CBD products from trustworthy (online) shops
  • Find out the CBD extraction method (preferably CO2 extraction)

Which one is the best CBD oil?

All of our high-quality products are lab-tested and made from 100% organic raw materials. The concentration of CBD is what makes the difference. Oils with a higher milligram share of CBD are more effective than those with a small amount of CBD. We strongly advise using a CBD full spectrum oil to benefit from the so-called "entourage effect" and because there is no wrong way of using it.

LEGALITY

Is CBD oil legal?

Yes, CBD oil is legal in Germany and in many other European countries. CBD is extracted from industrial hemp and only contains the legal amount of <0.01% of THC.

While THC is used exclusively for medical purposes and is known for its psychoactive effects, CBD is used in medicine as well as in cosmetics (EU) and food supplements (USA, CA etc.) and does not lead to a change in the state of consciousness.

Do I need a prescription?

No, our CBD oils are registered as cosmetics and are no medicine. Therefore you don’t need a prescription.

POSSIBLE EFFECTS OF CBD

What are the experiences with CBD products?

. Our customers are raving about the many advantages of our CBD oils and have integrated them already into their daily routines. If you don’t notice any relevant changes, you can increase the number of drops/pumps or try out another oil with a higher concentration of CBD.

Does CBD help with my illness?

Since our CBD oils are sold as cosmetics, we are not allowed to make medical statements.

Which health conditions can be treated with CBD?

There are various application areas of CBD oil, but it does not work the same for everyone. We suggest trying out different formulas and experiment with the dosage to observe your body’s unique reaction to our products. For more information on your individual health condition, we please you to consult your doctor.

How fast does CBD oil work?

Depending on the dose and your lifestyle, CBD oils work differently for everyone. For best results, we recommend starting off with using CBD for 30 days.

Will CBD get me "high"?

No, CBD will not get you "high". Our CBD oils are non-intoxicating, not psychoactive and contain less than 0.2% of THC.

Can CBD be combined with medications?

At this point, there are not enough studies available concerning the interaction of CBD with medications. Please consult your doctor or pharmacist for more information.

Are there side effects of using CBD?

CBD can cause dry mouth, diarrhoea and reduce appetite.

Is there an instruction of use or a package insert?

You can find the instructions of use labelled on all of our CBD products.

APPLICATION AND DOSAGE

Wow many drops of CBD oil do I need?

The ideal amount of CBD oil is different for everyone, depending on your individual needs and lifestyle.

What’s the best way to use CBD oils?

The most effective way is to put the CBD oil in your mouth and then spit it out. This way the CBD will be absorbed quickly through the oral mucosa. To guarantee a precise amount of oil, the handy pump dispenser of our CBD mouth sprays is particularly suitable.

Can I use CBD for a longer time?

Our CBD oils are 100% natural and can be used for a long period of time. It is very easy for the human body to process CBD and there are no serious side effects discovered so far. Many people use CBD throughout their adult life without any problems.

When does CBD oil expire?

If you store your CBD oils in a dark and cool place, they will last for at least one year. Please note that extreme cold can reduce the viscosity of your CBD oil. Therefore you should ideally use it at room temperature. CBD oil is sensitive to light and air, which is why you should always close it immediately after use.

Are there other ways to use CBD oil?

  1. CBD can be absorbed through the airways. This is why especially young people prefer products like CBD oil vape cartridges where CBD is evaporated and inhaled. The active ingredients get into the blood circulation through the airways and lungs. CBD can be inhaled by using a vape pen in combination with CBD oil cartridges. Usually, you will notice an effect after 1 to 3 minutes already and the intensity will fade after 1 to 3 hours.
  2. CBD capsules, pills and suppository
  3. Wellness products such as massage oils, bath bombs or creams can also be combined with CBD and have a relaxing effect.

PRECAUTIONS

Can CBD be used during pregnancy?

In general, it is not advised for pregnant and breastfeeding women to use CBD products. At this point, there are almost no studies about the effects of CBD on pregnancy.

Is there a minimum age for buying CBD products?

Yes, you have to be at least 18 years old to buy CBD products. By ordering in our online shop, you confirm that you have reached the legal age. Legal issues always depend on the country you are in and can change frequently.

Am I allowed to drive if I have taken CBD?

Yes, you are capable of driving because there are no psychoactive ingredients in our CBD products. A high-quality CBD product with minimal THC (<0.01%) is very unlikely to show up on a drug test. However, low-quality CBD products may contain more traces of THC than they claim, in which case it is possible for a screening to pick up on the drug THC. If you are using a higher daily amount of CBD than recommended, we advise you to use an isolated oil that is free from THC to exclude the minimal risk of losing your driver’s licence.

DEFINITIONS

What is CBD?

CBD (cannabidiol) is one of over 104 active chemical compounds (or ‘cannabinoids’) in the cannabis plant. It’s the second-most well-researched cannabinoid, behind THC. CBD is extracted from the stems and leaves of the plant. Our products are made from industrial hemp that is grown following the regulations of the EU.

What is CBD oil?

CBD oil consists of various components: The basis is always a vegetable base oil, such as olive oil, pumpkin seed oil or hemp seed oil, which is enriched with the hemp extract CBD. CBD oils are divided into full-spectrum, broad-spectrum and isolate. Full-spectrum and broad-spectrum oils can have a legally permitted maximum value (less than 0.2%) of THC. Isolates are THC-free. CBD oil has no intoxicating, i.e. no psychoactive effect.

What is the difference between CBD isolate and CBD full-spectrum?

A CBD isolate is a purified hemp extract that can be extracted from the hemp plant or produced synthetically in laboratories. Therefore it contains more CBD than a CBD full-spectrum oil and no additive cannabinoids or other plant substances.

A full-spectrum CBD oil contains all important components of the hemp plant: cannabinoids, terpenes and flavonoids like CBD und CBDa, CBN, CBG, CBC and many more. Therefore you can benefit from the so-called "entourage effect" which declares that all active ingredients of the hemp plant interact with each other and intensify the effect. This ensures a particularly high bioavailability. A full spectrum oil also contains small traces of THC (<0.2%).

What makes CBD so expensive?

The complex and work-intensive manufacturing process of CBD products justifies the price. Here you can find some facts about our production:

  • Hemp plants are grown according to GMP guidelines
  • Professional and gentle harvesting machines
  • Special laboratory equipment is needed
  • A huge amount of raw materials is needed to produce small amounts of CBD

What does the percentage of CBD mean?

The percentage shows you the amount of CBD in your product. For example, oil with "10 ml" and "10%" contains 1000 mg of CBD. The most common unit of measurement for CBD oils is 10ml. The following conversion formula applies: CBD content (percentage) * 1000 / 10ml content. Example with a 10% CBD Oil: 10 * 1000 / 10 = 1000 mg

What is a carrier oil?

Every CBD oil needs a carrier oil as a base. Those are vegetable oils that are used to dilute essential oils and absolutes and "carry" them to your skin. This is necessary because essential oils are potent and can cause irritation when applied directly to your skin. The most frequently used oils are:

  • Hempseed oil
  • Olive oil
  • MCT coconut oil

What are phenols in CBD?

Phenols are aromatic compounds of the (hemp) plant. They are a form of reactive, acidic molecules where a hydroxyl group is attached to hydrocarbon, and some are potent antioxidants. They are being used in full-spectrum CBD oils along with other hemp plant components such as terpenes and flavonoids.

What are the benefits of the Cannabis Sativa strain?

The industrial hemp that our products are made of belongs to the Cannabis Sativa Linnaeus strain. This strain is known for its euphoric and stimulating effect.

What is hemp seed oil?

Hemp seed oil is a natural product made of cold-pressed hemp seeds. The hemp seed oil contains a lot of essential fatty acids such as linoleic acid and gamma-Linolenic acid (GLA). Hemp seed oil is not only the richest natural source of omega 6 & 3 fatty acids but even contains them in the ideal 3:1 ratio for the skin. Therefore, hemp seed oil can ideally be used for cosmetics.

Other ingredients are:

  • Minerals
  • Vitamins A, C, E, B (B1, B2, B3, B6, B12)
  • Omega-3, -6, -9 fatty acids
  • Hemp protein
  • Beta-carotene

What are terpenes?

Terpenes are a large class of organic compounds that are produced by a variety of plants. They are very fragrant and responsible for the aromatic diversity of cannabis plants. This is why they are also very popular in aromatherapy. Like cannabinoids, terpenes interact with the body’s endocannabinoid system. They each have their individual properties and combined with CBD they can produce the "Entourage Effect".

Most hemp plants contain these terpenes: myrcene, limonene, pinene, linalool, humulene and caryophyllene. In nature, terpenes protect the plant from pests and attract pollinators with their odour. Our CBD vape cartridges contain aromatic terpene profiles in many different varieties.

What is THC and how is it different from CBD?

THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) is the psychotropic component of the cannabis plant. It is the chemical that affects your mind and makes you “high” while CBD (cannabidiol) is non-psychoactive. Our HERBLIZ CBD full-spectrum oils contain very low levels of THC (<0.2%) and our CBD isolates contain pure CBD without any traces of THC. All our products are 100% legal, safe and will not make you feel "high".

BODY FUNCTIONS WITH CBD

What is the endocannabinoid system?

The endocannabinoid system is a component of the human nervous system. It consists mainly of the cannabinoid receptors CB1, CB2 and CB3. These receptors are responsible for the release and transport of vital messenger substances.

The endocannabinoid system regulates various functions and is mainly responsible for keeping the body in balance. The body produces its own cannabinoids (endocannabinoids) for this purpose. Because the plant cannabinoids are so similar to the body's own cannabinoids, they can interact with them and form a symbiosis.

Cannabidiol can offer protection against oxidative cell stress and is thus optimally suited for cosmetics. In combination with other natural ingredients, CBD can provide more well-being and relaxation in wellness products.

What does "Entourage Effect" mean?

The entourage effect describes the symbiotic relationship between all compounds in cannabis plants where the resulting effect is greater than the sum of the individual parts. The "entourage" of diverse plant chemicals is what can provide stronger impacts on our body than an isolated pure CBD product. We offer a variety of full-spectrum CBD oils that make use of this entourage effect.
